Biotechnology students study regrowth of Planaria and environmental affects

While in 7th hour biochemistry, sophomore Erika Garcia Reyes and her classmate, Josie Yungeberg, examine their Planaria. “During this project, I really enjoyed observing how Planaria regenerates and the freedom to be able to create a project that was interesting to me,” Garcia Reyes said.

In Larry Pickerts 7th hour biotechnology class, students used Planaria samples from Antioch park to conduct an experiment on environmental affects.
