Homecoming Football Game

Senior Chloe Chen crowned Homecoming Queen at halftime

At the Varsity home game on Oct. 8, SM North lost to Gardner-Edgerton 7-17.

At halftime, senior Chloe Chen was crowned Homecoming queen.

“There was two Chloe’s so at first I didn’t know if it was me or the other one, so I kind of hesitated, but when I did get my name called I was super surprised and excited,” Chen said. “I really didn’t think I was gonna win so it was a really cool surprise.”

The Homecoming Court also included seniors, 2nd attendant Krystal Montoya, and 1st attendant Angie Zumbrunnen. Other Homecoming candidates included Chloee Belgum, Julia Dirks, Xen Hesse, Kate Mook, Vittoria Noravong, Ore Oni, Josie Tyrell, and Claire Winston.

All the Homecoming Queen candidates also were featured in the Homecoming Parade, one of the privileges of being nominated.

“Honestly I really liked walking and being with all the girls during the assembly,” Chen said, “but my favorite part was probably riding on the cars during the parade.”
