Boys Swim State
On Feb. 21-22, Trey Smith, Ryan McMillin, Harden Boldt, Caleb Sostarich, Luke Cramer, Cameron Lee, and Junior Lopez took on the Boys 6A Swim State, placing 8th overall. The boys walked away with some hardware including Trey Smith bringing home 6th in the 100 butterfly alongwith 5th in the 200 freestyle, as well as a 2nd team all state medal. Harden, Cameron, Caleb, and Luke rebroke the school record in the 200 medley relay. The 200 free relay which consisted of Trey, Junior, Harden and Cameron placed 7th with a time of 1:30.18. The 42 year old school record for the 400 free relay was broken by Cameron, Ryan, Junior and Trey, with a time of 3:19.31 placing 5th. And last but certainly not least our very own Coach Fothergill started Saturday by singing the National Anthem and ended it by being awarded the 6A coach of the year award.
