College and Career Readiness Workshop for SENIORS is scheduled on Wednesday, October 14, 2015. The expectation is all seniors will be in attendance and participating in various break-out workshops.
7:20 a.m. Breakfast served in cafeteria (community patrons-, Krispy Kreme, Runza, Chick-fil-A, Continental breakfast (fruit, yogurt, cereal, breakfast bars, etc.) Caribou Coffee and PTSA)

Shawnee Mission College Clinic Make plans to attend the Shawnee Mission College Clinic on Wednesday, October 14th from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at SM East High School. Talk to college representatives from over 200 schools. The College Clinic is the largest college fair in Kansas City! It is free and open to all high school students and their parents. The National Day of Testing is on October 14th.
PSAT/NMSQT
The Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test will measure the skills and knowledge that are essential for college readiness and success. By taking the PSAT in 11th grade, students may be eligible for scholarships, including the National Merit Scholars Program.
JUNIORS: The PSAT will be offered to juniors on Wednesday, October 14th, 2015. The fee is $16.
SOPHOMORES: This year the district will test all sophomores on Wednesday, October 14, 2015.
FRESHMEN: The PSAT will be offered to freshmen on Wednesday, October 14th, 2015. The fee is $16.

Juniors and Seniors: Map Your Road to College!!! Get your college visit passes TODAY at lunch in the cafeteria for colleges visiting this week. That’s Monday only at lunch in the cafeteria. Also available in Student Services Monday through Friday, before and after school and at passing periods.
