Any interested junior or senior may get a pass from Student Services and attend with teacher approval. All college visits will be held in the Student Services Conference Room unless otherwise noted.

SPORTS

Attention ALL fall athletes, most competitions start next week and you MUST have ALL paperwork turned in BEFORE you compete.  This also goes for any scrimmages that your sport may have, you WILL NOT compete in the scrimmages.  Please check with your coach or Ms. Rettig in the office to make sure you have all the paperwork turned in.

National Honor Society will be having an Informational Meeting at the beginning of seminar today in the library.  Eligible students (names have been posted outside of room 247 and in Times Square) should check in with their seminar teacher first and then report to the library.  The meeting will take about 10-15 minutes.

The Hispanic Heritage Program is excited to announce auditions for our 2015 program. We are in need of musicians, dancers, and orators.  Auditions will be held after school on Thursday, September 3, in Room 172. For more information please contact Mrs. Medina in Student Services.

Interested in joining Student Council?

Our first mixer is Friday, August 28th! It’s 80s-themed so put on your best neon fanny pack and rock your side pony. It’s $3 at the door or $2 with a canned good. See you there!

MISC

Yearbook picture day will be Wednesday through Friday, September 2-4, in the Auditorium during a student’s English Class.

This year Seniors will also be taking their pictures at North. They will get four poses and one of them will be a full body shot, please be sure to dress in such a manner that you are a positive representative for the SM North Class of 2016.

Underclass students have received a flyer with payment options for photos — please return that flyer on your picture day. Seniors will not receive a photo order form until after the photos are taken.

Any student absent on Sept. 2 or 3, can also take a photo Friday during English class. This is only for people who are absent Wednesday or Thursday.
