JUNIORS: Any students interested in attending or applying to Harvard, Duke, Georgetown, Penn, or Stanford, they are hosting a Student/Parent Information Session on Wednesday May 20 at 7pm at the KC Marriott, Country Club Plaza. See www.exploringcollegeoptions.org for more information and to register.
Juniors: The Counseling Department would like to encourage all juniors and their parents/guardians to attend a college planning presentation on May 6, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. in the Little Theatre. Topics will include the college planning process, college visits, and college financing. If you would like more information please contact your counselor.
Seniors: Seniors: If you will be attended Johnson County Community College in the fall please remember to enroll now. The JCCC counseling department will be offering walk-in appointments from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. through May 1st.

Any interested junior or senior may get a pass from Student Services and attend with teacher approval. All college visits will be held in the Student Services Conference Room unless otherwise noted.
SPORTS
SMN Physical Day
Date – Tuesday, May 12th
Time – 6:00 pm-9:00 pm (no appt necessary, walk ins welcome)
Location – SMN Training Room
Cost — $20 (Cash or check)
Track Fundraiser – A one day mattress sale to support the Shawnee Mission North Track & Field Team, Saturday, May 9th from 10am to 5pm! Library Book Due Dates
All Senior Library Books and Late Fees Due Friday, May 1st
Library Books for grades 9, 10, and 11 Due Thursday, May 7th
Students will be charged for the cost of the library books if they are not returned by the above dates. If the library is closed for testing, return books to the Front Conference Room or to the Main Office.
Tryout for graduation soloist
When: April 30, 2015 at 3:00pm

What: Tryout for graduation soloist
Who: Interested seniors
Important:
- You are responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and rehearsing with your accompanist; you cannot perform
Acappella
- You can only perform once – either individually (soloist) or in a small ensemble.
- Select a song that is meaningful to all seniors and parent and not only based on the song’s lyrics
- Report to Room 177 by 2:50pm
- Once all participants are present, we will draw randomly to determine the order of tryouts
- Students that are waiting to perform (or if you have already performed) then you will need to wait outside of the immediate area/room
- All participants will be notified of the committee’s selection at school the following day

CLUBS
There will be an International Club meeting after school today in room 261. Guest speaker will be North teacher Ms. Khalandi sharing about her home country of Iran. All members should attend to discuss plans for next year.

Coffee is not free, even with your own cup
Once you have left the serving area and entered the Cafeteria you may not come back in for more fruits or veggies
You are allowed one cookie/or one piece of cake/or one cinnamon roll on desert days and only if you are purchasing a lunch.
