Seniors: If you will be attended Johnson County Community College in the fall please remember to enroll now in order to select your courses. The JCCC counseling department is offering walk-ins from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. through May 1st.
SENIORS: The Joann Wooten Memorial Scholarship is a $1000 scholarship awarded to a North senior every year to be applied to the college of your choice. Criteria include a 3.00 cumulative GPA; superior attendance, character, and achievement; leadership abilities; financial need and creative writing ability. Applications are available in senior English classes and in student services and are due Monday April 27.
Seniors: Scholarship opportunity for students who graduated (or will) from Crestview & Shawnee Mission North. Two scholarships of $500 each will be awarded for use at any vocational school, college or university, in-state or out-of-state. Applicants need to meet the following criteria: 3.0+ GPA, participation in at least 1 extracurricular activity, demonstration of good citizenship throughout his/her school career, and two letters of recommendation. Applications are available in students services and are due to Mrs. Hadley by Friday April 24.

Any interested junior or senior may get a pass from Student Services and attend with teacher approval. All college visits will be held in the Student Services Conference Room unless otherwise noted.

Date – Tuesday, May 12th
Time – 6:00 pm-9:00 pm (no appt necessary, walk ins welcome)
Location – SMN Training Room
Cost — $20 (Cash or check)
MISC

What: Tryout for graduation soloist
Who: Interested seniors
Important:
- You are responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and rehearsing with your accompanist; you cannot perform
Acappella
- You can only perform once – either individually (soloist) or in a small ensemble.
- Select a song that is meaningful to all seniors and parent and not only based on the song’s lyrics
- Report to Room 177 by 2:50pm
- Once all participants are present, we will draw randomly to determine the order of tryouts
- Students that are waiting to perform (or if you have already performed) then you will need to wait outside of the immediate area/room
- All participants will be notified of the committee’s selection at school the following day
Any senior student interested in serving as a roll reader for commencement exercise on graduation night, Wednesday, May 20 please see Ms. Sammie Kudera by Friday, April 24.
Attention North! Anyone interested in becoming a part of our award winning choir department should come to the choir room and sign up to audition. The audition is no stress, no pressure, no other students will be in the room. Singing is just stretched out talking. You know you want to do it!

Hello! Could you please include in the announcements that Equality Club is holding their meeting in room 108 today and we will be discussing the AIDS walk on Saturday.
Attention ALL students interested in running for Pep Club Executive Board and next years Mascot’s! There will be an informational meeting in room 129 Monday April 27th at 2:50pm for anyone interested, Pep Club officers will be running in teams so be sure to be your four potential officers with you! Stop by room 129 for information starting TODAY!!!!
