February 24, 2016
The Black History Program was celebrated on Feb. 11, 2016. Students performed lyrical dances, played musical pieces, and recited poetry. Dr. Bernard Franklin was the keynote speaker and KC Sunshine was the guest performer. He is better known as the “Midwest Michael Jackson.”
“In this ever-changing world it is important for all of us to acquire and accrue knowledge about diverse cultures and the historical significance and impact that our predecessors have had on our lives,” Counselor Elva Medina said. “Our goal is that we will be inspired to make a difference in society today.”
