The Hispanic Heritage Annual Program is right around the corner! We are looking for performers, ambassadors and volunteers that will like to participate in this years’ program, please report to the Conference room in student services for our first informational meeting. We will meet his Thursday, Sept 12th in the morning from 7:00- 7:20 and in the afternoon after school 2:50-3:10. If you need additional information please talk to Mrs. Samaniego in student services or Mrs. Cox in room 261. We hope to see you on Thursday!

Any interested junior or senior may get a pass from Student Services and attend with teacher approval.

SPORTS:

Any student wanting to start conditioning for Winter Sports, please report to the weight room on Monday, Wednesday and Friday’s. Conditioning will be from 3pm to 4:15pm.

CLUBS:

There will be an Robotics Meeting this Wednesday after school from 2:50-4:00 PM. Work will be assigned for all division participants as well as assignments for the Homecoming Float. Snacks will be served. Mr. Ritter and MS Gibbens

MISC

Indian Night at the Library –
On Tuesday, September 10, the SM North library will be open from 6pm-9pm for computer/internet access, study groups, or individual work. This is an opportunity to study, complete assignments, read, research or converse with fellow peers. to improve your grades or just get some work done. Ms. Gagnebin, Social Studies faculty member will be supervising.

Seniors, who have not yet had a photo taken by DeCloud Studio have one last chance on Sept. 20 at SM North. Students must sign up in the office by Sept. 10 and will receive a pass with time and location for the Sept. 20 photo session with DeCloud at SM North. This is all seniors last chance to be pictured in the school yearbook. For more information please go to yearbook adviser Becky Tate’s web backpack.

City of Overland Park Teen Council
The Overland Park Teen Council is a new program that allows high school students to get an inside look at local government. Over the course of the school year, students will learn about different city departments, get a chance to attend various board/commission meetings, and plan a community service event. See the fliers posted throughout the building for more details. The deadline for applying is September 16th.
