BREAKING: Boys basketball wins state title
SM North boys basketball team beat Wichita Southeast on March 12 at Koch Arena in Wichita to win the 6A State Championship for the first time in 63 years. They won 80-56.
A day after the game, senior Michael Weathers was named Sunflower League Player of the year and was also named 1st team All-Sunflower League along with his brother Marcus. Their coach, Steve Stitzer, was named Coach of the Year. Junior Avante Williams was also named Honorable Mention All-Sunflower League.
