Wrestling’s season

Despite having a smaller team than most years, the wrestling team has been doing well, with multiple place finishes at each meet they go to.

“The difference this season has been there are less wrestlers than expected,” wrestling coach Tom Peterman said.

Even with less wrestlers, Jeremy Sanchez has been a leader to rally the troops, Peterman says.

“They work hard and don’t back down from any challenge,” Peterman said. “[They] come to practice every day and work hard getting better.”

With regionals and state on the horizon, the team has already begun to get ready.

“[With it] being crunch time, every thing gets tougher,” Peterman said. “I want six to qualify with two to place at State.”
