Zak Kohoutek’s College Signing

Senior Signs to Wheaton College for swimming

The beginning of a new chapter, on May 6th, Zachary Kohoutek signs his papers to officially be attending the school of Wheaton in Chicago. While in Wheaton, Zak will study Christian formation, ministry, and swim for the swim team. He will also be minoring in communications with film and media. He looks forward to living in the dorms, “I’m super excited to grow closer to the guys, they all love God, and I’m excited to be a part of the intermodals and worship nights,” he says. Zak also said that he’s looking forward to growing in his relationship with God, growing in his swimming skills, and growing relationships with his fellow classmates. “The college is in Chicago, which is kind of far from Kansas. I think that would probably be the hardest part of going there, leaving my family and friends and really everything I know. But I feel led by the Lord to go, so this is me taking a step in obedience with my faith.” Kohoutek says. Kohoutek says that he was super happy with how many people came to his signing event, “I was really nervous and a part of me was thinking, dang what if no one comes, but seeing all my friends just keep on coming through the doors was super encouraging.” Says Kohoutek.
