Black Adam review

I try not to get my hopes up for a movie, so as to not be disappointed. I was not excited about Black Adam at all, which is why I was surprised when it was worse than I thought it was going to be.

Black Adam might be one of the worst movies I have ever seen. It is a monument to the fact that The Rock does not make good movies. I enjoy some of his work, I really do. I love the Fast and Furious movies, but they aren’t good.

The acting in this movie is bottom tier, from The Rock himself to the civilian side characters. There is a moment in this movie in which they state that Adam wept like a baby when his son died. Yet, when they show his son die, he is virtually emotionless.

Never once in this movie did I root for Black Adam himself. I was much more inclined to root for Hawkman (Aldis Hodge) and Doctor Fate (Pearce Brosnan) when they fought. Speaking of Hawkman and Doctor Fate, they were awesome. They were the best characters in this movie.

The Villain in this movie looks like a video game character. Both effects wise and the way the character is designed. His goal to make hell on Earth makes no sense and he has some sub-par dialogue.

This all being said, I do not dislike The Rock. If he were to show up at my house and invite me to lunch, I would gladly go with him. He just doesn’t make good movies.

This movie is clear evidence that DC and Warner Bros. have no idea what they are doing. As much as I try to like these movies, I almost never do. If you like DC you should see this movie, you just might like it.
