Tbe North Marching Band Drum Line was a big hit again this year at the Susan B. Komen Race for a Cure.  The students arrived at Union Station before sunrise and played for two hours at the finish line, then they led the Survivors Parade to the Main Stage.  The beat of their drums set the tone for the event.  This year SMN Band Director, Chad Reed,  and his wife ran in the race.  Mrs. Reed said that once they heard the drums they stared running faster.

Drum Line students are Seniors Gabe Alejos and Michael Reid, Thomas Row and kathryn Tannahill. Juniors Brandan Hoffman, Darby Huddleston,  Mykia Carrell, John Swagerty, Samantha Dukelow and Courtney Turner.

Assistant Band Director is Andrew Adams.  Kyle Kuckleman is the Percussion Tech.
