SM North Marching Invitational

Saturday, Sept. 15. Is the annual SM North Marching Invitational. 9 bands from across the state and 1 band from missouri will come to North to compete in this competition. It will be hosted from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm and is the 2nd largest marching festival in the state of Kansas.

“We have over 1,200 visiting marchers and hoping for 3,000 spectators,” Band Director Chad Reed said. “Blue Valley hosted a festival years ago, but they stopped doing it. We saw a need for a marching festival in Johnson County, so we took a chance and it worked out great.”

Students will be able to attend at any time during the festival. Admission costs $10 for visitors and $5 for students with their student ID.

Lee Summit North – 1:00 PM

Topeka West – 1:15 PM

Buhler – 1:30 PM

Olathe North – 1:45 PM

Valley Center – 2:00 PM

SM East – 2:30PM

Truman – 2:45PM

Olathe South – 3:00 PM

Wasburn Rural – 3:15 PM

Olathe Northwest – 3:30
