Boys’ Swim and Dive: Congratulations to the boys’ swim and dive team for an absolutely phenomenal meet last night at SM Northwest. Not one, not two, but ALL THREE of our relays destroyed their season’s fastest times to qualify for State Championships!! Collin Braden, Jacob Roemer, Lair Heslop, and Erik Hydeman all swam on each of those winning relays. Sean Atkinson also had the best dive meet of his life as he qualified for State as well! It was truly a magical night for the swimmers and divers. We amassed 199 points as we took first place in 7 out of the 12 events. Others individual winners included Erik Hydeman in the 50 Free, Lair Heslop in the 100 Butterfly, Collin Braden in the 100 Free, and Ali Oguz in the 100 Backstroke. 12 other guys set season or personal records, so everyone competed at a very high level.
To all of the swimmers and divers, way to set the bar high and to be the example of why it’s great to be an Indian!!
DRAMA
I have a question for you. What do a magic foot, a convict, and elementary students all have in common? If you guessed The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, then you are correct! Don’t miss out on the laughs. Tickets are on sale at lunch in the cafeteria. Shows begin Thursday at 7:00 pm and run through the 18th, 19th, 24th, 25th, and two shows on the 26th.
CLUBS:
YEARBOOK
Don’t be left out of the fun (did we mention workshops in Dallas!) or the fact that the Indian is one of the top 25 yearbooks in the country? Come on and join in. We need talented writers, designers and photographers. Don’t be shy. Applications can be found in the office, room 184, with all English teachers or on Mrs. Tate’s web backpack.
