The SM North Academic Decathlon team took third place at the Regional Competition in November. The team is looking forward to a better performance at the State Competition in Manhattan,KS on Jan. 25 and 26. The topic this year is Russia and the team is doing an in-depth study of a variety of topics including science, math, social studies, art, literature and music.

The regional competitors are: Senior Tristan Abbott,  Senior Jason Foster, Senior Yulia Ivanets, Junior Goldia Kiteck, Junior Andrew Nelson, Senior Ali Oguz, Senior Nick Payne, and Senior Max Watkins. Jon Durham is the Academic Decathlon Sponsor.
