Do you want to go to Prague?
YMCA Europe Festival is a week-long international youth event from August 4 – 10, 2013, and is expected to draw approximately 10,000 youth participants representing more than 50 national YMCA Movements from around the world that unites young people from around the world to celebrate life, diversity and all that is inspiring about being young and a part of the global YMCA Movement. The event focuses on the power and potential of youth to make a positive social impact both locally and globally.
At the YMCA Europe Festival, youth participants will:
?   Expand their global perspective, strengthen cultural competencies and develop leadership skills
?   Participate in challenging workshops on youth-focused topics
?   Share and connect with YMCA peers from around the world
?   Explore their role in making communities stronger – both locally and globally
?   Celebrate the strength and diversity of the global YMCA family
?   Strengthen their YMCA commitment
?   Contribute to shaping the future of the YMCA Movement

Interested in fraternities at KU?
On Wednesday, December 5th the KU Student Involvement and Leadership Center will host an IFC Experience Night at the Edwards Campus in Overland Park.  This event is intended for high school seniors and their families and it will provide information about the twenty-three fraternities in the Interfraternity Council (IFC) at the University of Kansas.  KU representatives, alumni and current students will be on hand to speak both about the benefits of being a part of the Greek community and the fraternity recruitment process at KU.

Seniors – This is a reminder to pick up a seminar drop form in Student Services if you are dropping seminar for 2nd sem.  See Mrs. Hinton if you have questions.
 
Students if you are taking the December ACT, you MUST upload your photograph to the ACT website and print out a ticket with your picture on it.  If you have not uploaded your picture by Noon on Tuesday, December 4th your registration will be cancelled and you will not be allowed to test.  See Mr. Stone in student services if you have questions.
 
Students, if you would like to change classes on your second semester schedule the counselors are available for walk-in appointments from 2:40 to 3:20 every day after school up until first semester finals begin.  If you are a bus rider you can make an appointment.  Requests to change teachers and/or blocks for a class will not be considered.

High School Activity Physical Exams
Prospective student-athletes wanting to participate in high school activities winter sports activities need an annual physical exam dated AFTER May 1 of each year.
