For more than 30 years, North has been making donations to the Johnson County Christmas Bureau.  Last year, 3,400 families used the Bureau for food, clothing and holiday gifts for their families in the Johnson County area.  This year, they are expecting over 3,800 families (12,500 plus Individuals) to apply for this service.

NHS is asking every student and staff member to donate $1 to help buy jars of peanut butter to reach their goal of delivering 600 jars to JCCB the first of December.  Students who donate a $1, will be given a ticket to attend the Charity Basketball Game during seminar on Tuesday, Nov. 20.

NHS only has two seminars this year to collect.  Please bring the $1 donation on Nov.8 or Nov.15 to receive a ticket to attend the Charity Basketball Game.  Seminars with 100 percent by Nov. 15 will be “treated” at the basketball game.

The Boys’ and Girls’ JV/V teams will be introduced and scrimmage along with a Faculty Team.  A drawing will be held on Thursday Nov. 15 to choose four seminars with 100 percent participation to compete in our fifth “Pile Up the Peanut Butter Competition” during the Basketball Game.  Four students from each seminar will have 30 Jars of Peanut Butter to build the “Tallest” or “Most Creative” Pile of Peanut Butter.

Peanut Butter Promoters will be coming Nov. 8 and Nov. 15 to collect your donations and see how close your Seminar is to 100 percent participation.
