North graduate Lucas Blando begins recording music

2015 graduate Lucas Blando has always had a passion for music, but has recently began recording his music locally with family friend Jerry Thompson in his professional grade home studio located in Kansas City.

Blando’s love for music began when he went to a John Mayer concert.

“I remember how much I wanted to be able to play guitar like that. After that, Kelsie Sneegas showed me a few chords and after that I taught myself how to play.”

Blando started writing songs and singing about a year ago, and will be releasing his five song EP in the near future.

“I’m really just hoping that people like my music and whenever I have a show that some North kids will come hangout and jam with me. My influences are definitely my mom, Josh Garrels, John Mayer, and a band named Penny and Sparrow.”
