North Wins SMSD Best Pie Challenge
On December 1st, Shawnee Mission North took first against East, Northwest, South, and West in the 3rd ever Best Pie Challenge. In the two previous years, North took 2nd. The winning team this year consisted of Tessa Smith, Sam Chavez, Thomas Dalton, and Stoney Rogan- all handpicked by foods teacher Ms. Cochran. During the competition, teams took up the challenge of baking caramel apple pie at the Shawnee Mission Center of Academic Achievement (CAA) building.
