The Indians traveled to the opposite side of of the district to face the arch rivaled Raiders on their home turf.
The Indians came out strong scoring on their first drive. The drive took 7 minutes and added up to 16 plays when senior Henry Bell finally ran it in for the score. With the PAT Indians were in charge early 7-0.
Although, when South got possession it didn’t take long for them to take control. In 3 plays South drove down and tied the game. It went back and forth a few possessions but South came out on top 55-28 with help from their running back Gabe Guild who rushed for 3 touchdowns and 236 yards.
South’s quarterback Jon Preuter also threw two touchdowns to tight end Nick Oliver.
On the Indians side, Bell scored twice along with senior Caleb Denman scoring a touchdown, as well as junior Michael Williams.
Next week, North will be home against Lawrence High School for the Homecoming Game. The game will start at 7 p.m. at North District Stadium.
