On a Wednesday night, students and their families came to SM North for a night that included a mix of different cultural foods, music, and themes. “My favorite part was the food,” Junior Ayden Romero said. “I was big-backing.” As the night went on, students performed a waltz on stage while Hastá la raíz by Natalia Lafourcade played. The girls danced in colorful quinceñera dresses. After the performance, senior Chris Lopez, senior Diego Sanchez, and senior Marco Tapia played three songs on stage. The last activity for the night was when it was everyone’s chance to dance and express themselves. “My favorite part of the night was towards the end when everyone was dancing together,” senior Abbygale Perez said, “I got to wash my sticky hands from handling food and drinks.”
With a stand-in, sophomore Noah Reid walks to the fieldhouse while in Stephanie Wixon’s third-hour Spanish class on March 12. Reid wanted to help set up for International Night later that day. “I quite enjoyed helping out with International Night, I think it’s an event that everyone should go to at least once,” Reid said. “It’s a chance to try out a lot of new things and to learn more about different cultures.” (Ethan Newport)With one loud crunch, senior John Long devours a duro while at International Night on March 12. “I really just went for the food,” Long said.
