North Chess Club participates in first tournament
The SM North Chess Club represented North in their first tournament on Saturday Dec. 8 at KU in Lawrence. All North participants each won at least one game and several began the process to qualify for the State tournament in March by accumulating two points. Players included Junior Holly Clark, Sophomore Ben Harrison, Matthew Webb, Freshman Jacob Swearingen, Sophomore Samantha Starr, Junior Ricky Hernandez, and Freshman Zachary Goss.
