On Tuesday May 15, the graduating class of  2012 walked across the North District Stadium stage and received their diplomas.

Family and friends came to cheer for the 380 students.

The ceremony was broadcast live on SMSD’s cable channels; it can also be watched on the SMSD website.

Class of 2000 graduate, Michael Osterahaus, an instructor for the military out of Pensacola,  was the guest speaker.

Senior Tucker Love gave the senior oration.

“I felt that North had given me so much in the last four years,” Love said, “friends, education and lessons for my future. So getting to stand in front of all of my peers and talk about that was special, and  I’m glad I got the opportunity to do that. It was a nice way to finish.”
