Top Ten movies of 2022

10. Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent
This is a movie where Nicolas Cage plays himself. That alone should be enough to convince you that this movie is hilarious. The performances from him and Pedro Pascal really make this movie.
9. Scream
This is a Scream movie, so its pretty solid. However, CGI Billy Loomis so incredibly unnecessary its not even funny. Other than that there are some nice callbacks to the first one and I am looking forward to Scream VI.
8. The Fabelmans
This is an autobiographical movie about Steven Spielberg and while the runtime is excessive, its really interesting to see how Spielberg got his start marking movies.
7. Black Panther
This is a great movie. It has emotion, it has action, it is what you’d expect from a Marvel movie. While it isn’t as good as the first one, it was a refresher when it comes the recent MCU projects.
6. Top Gun
While I believe this movie to be overrated, it is still great. While it may or may not have the same final battle as the original Star Wars, the action in this fim is amazing. The effects, the plot, the comedy, its all great.
5. Bullet Train
This movie. This movie is so fun to watch. This action is awesome and there are some great performances form Brad Pitt, Brian Tyree Henry, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson. I really want an origin story for Lemon and Tangerine.
4. Glass Onion
The sequel to 2019’s Knives Out, Glass Onion is a joy to watch. Everyone in this movie delivers such an energetic performance its unbelievable. Daniel Craig once again kills it as Benoit Blanc and there is an excellent performance from Janelle Monáe.
3. The Batman
This movie is too long, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t good. The cinematography, the villain, the batobile, there are so many gret things about this movie. I find it absolutely ridiculous that the score isn’t even on the shortlist at the Oscars.
2. Everything Everywhere All at Once
This movie is very existential, and its amazing. Its great to see something about the multiverse and have it not be a Marvel movie.
1. Nope
I was excited for this movie going into it, but was not expecting to like it as much as I did. It’s a Jordan Peele movie, so not only is it good, it has horror elements to it. There are also some Spielberg esqe moments in the finale of the film. The special effects in this movie are amazing and it has one of the best shots in movie history.
