Students who don’t have the money for lunch can open an account to receive free lunches and breakfast as long as they meet the requirements.
“We actually have a North Indians fund or Indians North, which needs to be changed to Bison. But it’s where contributions can be made and then kids that don’t have lunch that day and need money, they can use that account,” kitchen manager Toni Arellanes said.
According to Arellanes, everything on the school lunch menu is going to change or is being moved around on either Sept. 11 or Sept. 12 of this year.
“We’re gonna get new things. And everybody is used to nachos every other week, but there are no longer nachos or nacho grande where they normally are,” she said. “They also aren’t going to be served as often anymore.”
Arellanes also said that the pizza is going to stay in the same spot it’s always been served and is getting a second station for it.
“The pizza will always be over there and is even going to have two stations now,” she said.
