A total of 354 graduates walked across the stage on Wed. May 18 at the North District Stadium. This was the 94th graduating class of Shawnee Mission North High School.

Speeches were given by graduates Anastasya Bagdasaryan and Emily Kyle, as well as 1999 SM North graduate, Ted Carpenter.

“I was so nervous walking up to the stage I felt like my heart was going to pop out, but it felt very rewarding after I was done because I worked hard on the speech and it felt good having everyone hear it and enjoy it,” Bagdasaryan said.

The class of 2016 celebrated many accomplishments including remarkable academic achievements and awards in several activities and sports.

It feels amazing to graduate,” Bagdasaryan said. “Graduation was one of my happiest moments because after four years of hard word I am finally done and ready to move on the next chapter of my life.”

Congratulations, class of 2016!
