Student Identification Cards Now Required
December 18, 2015
Beginning immediately after winter break, students will be required to have their school issued identification cards with them at all times while in the building. Students may be required to show their I.D. before entering the school.
“I don’t think it will affect the kids at all,” Assistant Principal Chris Zuck said. “Carrying identification is something that comes with age.”
If students find they don’t have their I.D. with them, their identification will be verified in a different way and steps towards getting them a new I.D. card will be taken by administration.
“We’re not going to deny kids the opportunity for a learning space for not having an I.D.,” Zuck said. “We’re about the kids.”
Replacement I.D. cards will cost students five dollars and will be available to purchase at any time in student services.
