Hispanic Heritage Program Tryouts
September 4, 2015
The annual Hispanic Heritage Program is right around the corner. This was the first year tryouts were held. Counselor Elva Medina said that the reason for making tryouts was so there could be a deadline for the students to work towards and for it to be more organized.
“As a group we struggled to come together,” Medina said, “and sometimes we tried to do everything at the last moment.”
This year’s special performance will be a “ballet folklorico”, a group of dancers that dance traditional Mexican music. Medina also added that the most exciting part about this year’s program is that anyone can participate.
The Hispanic Heritage Program tryouts were held after school on Sept. 3, 2015. If you are interested in participating you still have time! Just email Elva Medina at [email protected] for more information. The Hispanic Heritage Program will be held Sept. 24 at 1:30 p.m.
