The SM North chess club brought home the third place trophy at their first tournament of the year.  Students played all day at Christ the King School in Topeka on Saturday, Oct. 5.

Congratulations to all the players who participated: Junior Matthew Webb, Sophomore Jacob Swearingen, Sophomore Lucas Berger, Junior Jon-Michael Smith, Junior Hayden Smith, Freshman Lizzie Fischer, Sophomore Brendan Howell, Junior Ben Harrison and Junior Samantha Starr.  In addition to the team win, individuals Webb, Swearingen, and Starr medaled.
