On Friday, March 1, Medical Science seniors spent the afternoon with approximately 100 Hocker Grove Middle School eighth graders. The purpose of the event was to provide eight graders with a glimpse into the very basics of technical skills used in health care and to connect their daily core curriculum with application in the professional arena.
Hocker students gave the event an overwhelming “thumbs up” on the evaluation form, including comments like: “I was inspired to save lives and become a surgeon” and “I liked that they wanted you to ask questions and then they informed you!” and also “I enjoyed that the seniors shared some of the same dreams as me and they actually are following their dreams!”
